CG014 Familial breast cancer - Costing report (based on the original recommendations)
This report was commissioned by NICE from Secta, an independent health and social care consultancy and is the second in a series designed to provide management information on the estimated financial impact on the NHS of the implementation of clinical guidelines.
The report focuses on the financial impact of key factors in the clinical guideline on familial breast cancer in England. Wales has not been included, as we have been informed that the current level of service in Wales means that implementing this guideline will have a negligible cost impact.
The report has been prepared in consultation with the guideline developers and has been approved for publication by the Institute. It should be noted that the cost and activity assessments in the reports are estimates based on a number of assumptions and provide an indication of the likely impact of the principal recommendations and are not absolute figures.
The Institute would welcome feedback from users to inform the development of future reports. Please email your comments to costing@nice.nhs.uk.
As part of this work, a template has been developed on behalf of NICE by Secta, an independent health and social care consultancy. It is designed to provide local health communities with the ability to assess the likely impact of the principal recommendations in the guideline.
The Institute would welcome feedback from users to inform the development of future templates. Please email your comments to costing@nice.nhs.uk.
Please ensure that your level of macro security is set at medium or low so that the macros can be enabled when you open the spreadsheet.
