October 2023: In the section on investigating suspected thyroid dysfunction, we added a new recommendation on the potential for biotin to interfere with the results of thyroid function tests. See the surveillance review for more information. We also updated the link to NHS England's advice on prescribing liothyronine.
Minor changes since publication
