Review of NICE Technology Appraisal Guidance Nos 22, orlistat and 31 sibutramine for the treatment of obesity in adults

Following discussions with consultees involved in the original appraisals, the Institute’s Guidance Executive has decided that the review of these appraisals will be incorporated into the on-going NICE guideline on ‘Obesity: the prevention, identification, evaluation, treatment and weight maintenance of overweight and obese adults’, which was referred to the Institute as part of the 8th wave, and is currently due for release to the NHS during 2006.
