CG92 Venous thromboembolism - reducing the risk: online educational tool

This on-line educational resource was developed by the Chief Medical Officer’s VTE Implementation Working group and e-learning for Health. When the NICE Clinical Guideline CG92 was published in 2010 it was comprehensively reviewed, in collaboration with NICE, to ensure that it fully aligned with the NICE guidance. The NICE Education group has identified this module as a useful resource for those implementing the guidance in clinical practice.

Venous thromboembolism - reducing the risk (eVTE)

The module comprises of five stages

  • Pre-learning questionnaire
  • Demographics, epidemiology and the risk of VTE
  • Methods of thromboprophylaxis
  • Implementation of thromboprophylaxis in hospitals
  • Assessment
