Our regular update from one of the regional Implementation Consultant’s. This month Jayne Chidgey-Clark tells us what she's been up to in the South-West.
The winners were chosen from 71 entries and received a certificate, £1000 each towards the implementation of NICE guidance and a NICE trophy. The two runners up won £100 each.
The Audit Commission noted in 'Managing the financial implications of NICE Guidance' (September 2005) that implementation of NICE guidance is not always straightforward and individual NHS bodies could significantly improve local implementation by strengthening their financial management arrangements. Following this we have included information on effective financial planning on our website.
The NICE commissioning team is looking ahead to its third cycle of the commissioning guide programme to commence in April 2008. We want to identify suitable topics for the guides based on established NICE guidance in topic areas that are important to health service commissioners.
