Chris Connell, Implementation Consultant working in the West of England, gives us an update of his activities over the last month. Following on from Jayne's (Implementation Consultant for the South West) article last month, variety remains an ongoing theme. The Field Team has been in operation since last September and we have now made initial visits to almost all NHS organisations and to the majority of county councils and unitary authorities.
NICE has redesigned its implementation advice - what doYOU think about our new style?
In November 2006 members of the implementation team held a workshop allowing stakeholders to feed back their thoughts on what they thought were the most helpful elements of our implementation advice. They identified the following aspects:

Implementation will form one of the main focuses of NICEannual conference 2007 - 'Evidence into practice'
The NICE annual conference will be held on 5–6 December at the Central Convention Complex in Manchester. This year’s conference will address how NICE uses expert advice and evidence to develop guidance and will offer practical and realistic examples of the best ways to turn NICE guidance into reality.
