Taking place on 5 and 6 December 2007, the NICE annual conference will focus on practical and realistic examples of the best ways to turn guidance recommendations into reality. Replacing the posters that have traditionally been exhibited at the NICE annual conference, this year we will be launching the “Shared Learning Award”. In December 2006, NICE launched the Shared Learning Database on its website allowing those from the NHS and wider public health community to share examples of NICE implementation projects that they think may offer learning opportunities for colleagues. Twelve short listed entrants for the Shared Learning Award will be selected from the shared learning database and NICE will worked with the entrants to produce a poster for each that will be displayed at the NICE annual conference. Four finalists will then be selected to give a 10-15 minute presentation on their entry at the conference. One of the four will be selected as the overall award winner and will receive £1,000 to support NICE guidance implementation projects within their organisation. The four finalists will be offered two free places at the NICE conference and each of the 8 remaining short listed entrants will receive one free place plus 25% off a second delegate place.

Deadline for submissions is 30 September 2007.
