Two members of the costing team at NICE joined the implementation consultant, Jayne Chidgey Clark, at a workship hosted by the South West Strategic Health Authority (SHA) in September. The aims of the workshop were to:

  • discuss why forward planning and costing is important
  • demonstrate the forward planning and costing tools
  • explain how they were developed
  • get feedback on how they are being used and
  • explain what improvements can be made.

More and more information is now accessed electronically. While some of this is well presented and easy to access, a lot of it is not. NICE are keen that the electronic versions of its guidance improve not just access to the content, but also its relevance to the end user.
