It's the little things which may make the big difference....
Implementation advice extends beyond key clinical recommendations, to include seemingly small details which can make a difference to the quality of life of patients. For example, faecal incontinence can be a distressing condition and coping strategies, including obtaining a RADAR key, which gives access around 7000 locked toilets, can be a real boon for patients.
This is just one of the messages in the Implementation Advice for CG49 – advice which can reassure patients that discussion with a healthcare professional will be less discomforting than living with this condition.
