New NICE guidelines on early identification of chronic kidney disease will help save lives

NICE and the National Collaborating Centre for Chronic Conditions today published a guideline which will help save lives of people with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The guideline sets out how best to identify who has CKD; who is at risk of progression and at risk of serious complications, and how to manage their care.

NICE and the National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health have today published a guideline on the diagnosis and management of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children, young people and adults. ADHD is a common behavioural disorder in children and young people estimated to affect up to 3% of school-age children and young people in the UK, and about 2% of adults worldwide.
