NICE appraisal of bortezomib for the treatment of relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) is currently appraising the use of bortezomib (Velcade) for the treatment of multiple myeloma as part of its rapid appraisal work programme. Following reports in two national newspapers on the content of draft guidance on this drug, due for publication next week, NICE has decided to publish the draft guidance on its website with immediate effect.
