Andrew Dillon, Chief Executive said, "The Institute's guidance is developed in consultation with clinical specialists and their representative organisations, and with patient and carer organisations. It is based on a careful and independent review of the evidence and is both robust and authoritative.
Whilst the Institute welcomes objective scrutiny of its work, it is confident that it has the full support of the NHS in both its processes and its guidance."
