2006/004 NICE Citizens Council to examine the &####145;Rule of Rescue'

The Citizens Council of the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE), which provides public input into the Institute's work, will hold its next meeting in London this week (26 - 28 January 2006). At this meeting, NICE will ask the Citizens Council for its views on the ‘Rule of Rescue' - the concept of focussing more resources than normal on saving a life at high risk. The Citizens Council will hear evidence from speakers covering all aspects of this topic, before taking part in thorough discussions to examine the issues in detail.
