Proposed optimal practice review topics
Centre for Health Technology Evaluation
The tables below list the topics that NICE considered as part of its pilot to identify topics that could help the NHS make better use of its resources by reducing spending on ineffective treatments, that is, treatments that do not improve patient care or do not represent good value for money. For each of the topics considered, the table gives the dates of consultation on the draft scope and evidence directory, an email address to send any enquiries to regarding the proposed topic, and links to the final report.
Proposed ineffective practice review topics are topics which NICE is considering developing as guidance that we anticipate will help the NHS make better use of its resources by reducing spending on ineffective treatments, that is, treatments that do not improve patient care or do not represent good value for money.
