Public health guidance process and method guides
The public health process and methods guides have been updated following public consultation in 2008. These explain how NICE develops public health guidance and provide advice on the technical aspects of development.
The second editions of these documents were published in April 2009 and replace the first editions that were published in 2006.
All guidance scoped from April 2009 will follow the process and methods described in the 2009 editions; guidance already in development will continue to follow the 2006 editions. Each draft and published guidance will specify which editions have been used.
The Process and Methods guides for public health are based on a conceptual framework. View the published version.
