Our research work

We're always looking to improve the way we work. To do this we need to stay one step ahead of innovative new health technologies and treatments, policy developments and changes in health and social care delivery.

Our science policy and research programme team produces high-quality, impactful research. This allows us to continually anticipate and adapt to these changes.

Priority methods research areas

We'd welcome opportunities to partner with you on projects that will address any of our priority research topics.

Research recommendations

As we develop our guidance, we identify gaps and uncertainties in the evidence base. The most important unanswered questions are then developed into research recommendations.

On this page you can:

  • see our research recommendations
  • see funding opportunities.

Projects and partners

We're actively involved in a range of methodological research and other projects. By partnering with us, you'll gain a unique insight into assessing health and social care interventions in the real world.

NICE Listens

NICE Listens is a new programme of public engagement. It's been developed to give us an understanding of public opinion on moral, ethical and social value issues.
