Healthcare Commission assessment
The Healthcare Commission has a key role in encouraging the implementation of NICE guidance through its assessment activities. NICE guidance is used in the Healthcare Commission’s annual health check for 2008/2009, programmes of review, audit and assessment.
This paper is an update of a paper published in January 2007. It provides an overview of the Healthcare Commission’s activity in relation to the implementation of NICE guidance. It was developed jointly between the NICE Implementation Directorate and the Healthcare Commission.
