Join the Commissioner Reference Panel
NICE is currently recruiting to The Commissioner Reference Panel (CRP). The CRP provides NICE with rapid, formal and informal feedback and support around the commissioning agenda and consists of people involved with commissioning health and social care services from around the country.
Members of the Commissioner Reference Panel are invited to help us ensure that the implementation support via commissioning guides is appropriate, helpful and fit for purpose.
NICE guides for commissioners
NICE guides for commissioners are a set of web-based resources, specifically targeted at health and social care commissioners to help them commission services based on the best available evidence and in line with NICE quality standards. The guides offer detailed practical advice on a range of issues, including local needs assessment and opportunities for service redesign. They signpost to other relevant sources of information including QIPP service models and contain a Commissioning and Benchmarking (CAB) tool to help commissioners determine the level of service needed locally and identify where cost savings can be made.
Commissioner Reference Panel
The purpose of the Commissioner Reference Panel is to create a pool of people with commissioning expertise, from which their advice and opinion can be sought in a number of ways and for a range of NICE work streams. Please refer to role and function of the Commissioner Reference Panel.
Membership of the CRP also offers opportunities for commissioners to support other NICE work streams including NHS Evidence, Quality Standards and Commissioning Outcomes Framework (COF).
