The External Reference Group

Would you like to play an active role in shaping tools that will help organisations to implement NICE guidance?

We are looking for people who work in organisations that use NICE guidance to volunteer to give us comments on draft implementation tools in the following categories:

Cost impact tools - practising finance professionals (and other professionals with an interest in budgets) are needed to comment on draft costing tools.

Audit tools - professionals with an interest in clinical audit are needed to comment on draft audit tools.

Implementation support and education tools - practitioners from a wide range of backgrounds are needed to comment on draft education tools and practical tools designed to help front-line professionals implement NICE guidance.

If you decide to join the External Reference Group, we will ask you to highlight topics of your interest. When we are developing implementation tools that fall within your area of interest, we will send draft implementation tools to you for you to comment on. We estimate that no more than 4 hours of your time will be needed for each set of implementation tools that we send to you.

People who meet the selection criteria are invited to complete an application form and send this by email to erg@nice.org.uk. We will contact you within 28 days of the form being received. For further information about the External Reference Group, please refer to the terms of reference.

People interested in helping to provide support for commissioners working with NICE guidance should refer to information on the Commissioner Reference Panel. For information about how to implement NICE guidance please refer to the NICE website Using Guidance.
