Implementation advice

NICE will produce implementation advice for all clinical and public health guidelines published after October 2005. This advice is targeted at those responsible for planning and implementing the guidance. It:

  • provides practical suggestions on implementing specific pieces of guidance locally
  • considers specific implementation issues
  • includes a review of the policy context and the key drivers
  • identifies the likely implementation barriers and possible ways to overcome these for different audiences.

Implementation advice is developed and tested with the guideline developers, implementers and practitioners through our external reference group.
