North East Public Health Observatory (2010) Improving Access to Psychological Therapies. A review of the progress made by sites in the first roll-out year.

Description: The Observatory received datasets from 32 sites. Of the 41,724 patients who had terminated their contact episodes, 95% received some treatment. Of those treated, 61% received some low intensity treatment, 46% some high intensity treatment, and 19% both. 38% of patients finished treatment episodes by being judged to have completed treatment. The authors found that the reported number of treatment sessions per patient were low in comparison to NICE recommendations.
