4. How we make decisions

In this section we list agendas, minutes and papers from our main management meetings. In some cases these will be available 6 months after the relevant meeting. Information may also be redacted if it is considered private to the meeting or is otherwise exempt from disclosure. The section also provides information on how we engage with patient, carers and the public and how we conduct public consultation on our draft guidance recommendations.

  • Board Minutes
    NICE holds public Board meetings every two months. We will publish all agendas, papers and minutes for the public meetings for the past 2 years. Archived papers more than 2 years old are available on request.
  • Board Strategy meetings
    NICE holds Board Strategy meetings every two months. The agenda, papers and minutes for the past two years will be made available on the website 6 months after the relevant meeting. Archived papers more than 2 years old are available on request.
  • Senior Management Team meetings
    NICE holds Senior Management Team meetings every week. They are part of the Institute's corporate decision making process. The agenda, final approved papers and minutes for the past 2 years will be made available at least 6 months after the relevant meeting subject to the redaction of any exempt material. Archived papers more than 2 years old are available on request.
  • Guidance Executive
    NICE holds Guidance Executive meetings every week. They are part of the process of guidance production. The papers are available on request when the guidance they refer to has been published.
  • Patient and Public Involvement
    This section provides information on the work of the Patient and Public Involvement Unit and how they involve patients, cares and the public in the work of NICE.
  • Public consultations
    NICE conducts public consultations on all its guidance. Here you will find a list of all current consultations where you can provide comments and feedback on our draft guidance.
