Each year the Public Involvement Programme runs a set of workshops to help patient, carer and service user organisations learn more about NICE's activities and the opportunities to participate in NICE's work.
What are masterclasses?
At each masterclass, speakers will introduce participants to the range of NICE guidance, standards and advice that we produce. Interactive exercises will enhance participants’ NICE knowledge and explore how the work we do might be relevant to their organisation. There are also opportunities for questions and discussion to help participants get the most out of the day.
How long do masterclasses last?
The classes usually last a day and refreshments are provided.
Our next masterclass
We’ll address the key questions:
- What is shared decision-making and why is it important?
- What are the challenges around shared decision-making and how can we encourage greater shared decision-making in practice?
- What does shared decision-making mean to people using services?
- What are NICE doing to encourage greater shared decision-making and how can people who use services and organisations that represent them be more involved?
