Digital at NICE

We design, build, deliver and maintain over 30 digital services.

We also look after NICE’s network infrastructure. It’s a highly collaborative, agile environment with a great culture and talented people.

How we work

Our principles shape how we deliver digital and technology services to our users, both within NICE and across the health and care system. We are:

  • user centred
  • partners, not suppliers
  • flexible and resilient
  • strategic and realistic
  • enabling and supportive.

We build and run our services using agile methods. Data and research are at the heart of what we do. We use qualitative and quantitative research (the 'why?' and the 'what?') to understand user needs and solve problems.

We're always improving our services and how our multi-disciplinary teams work. We fail fast and learn quickly, agile methodology allows us to spot problems early and resolve them quickly.

It's an exciting time for NICE. We are transforming the way we work by building a digital workplace. By developing more collaborative and efficient ways of working, we will be better able to provide support to the health and care system and achieve improved outcomes for people using the NHS.

Alison Liddell, programme director.
