Infants, children and young people approaching the end of life and being cared for at home have 24-hour access to both children's nursing care and advice from a consultant in paediatric palliative care.

Quality standard measure: Evidence of local arrangements to ensure that children's nursing care is available 24 hours a day for infants, children and young people approaching the end of life who are being cared for at home.
What was measured: Proportion of CCGs that answered 'Yes' to the question: Do you commission community children's nurses for children and young people with life-limiting and lifethreatening conditions between the ages of 0 and 25 for out of hours support?
