This information explains the advice about supporting people with dementia and their carers that is set out in NICE–SCIE clinical guideline 42.

The guideline on dementia was developed in partnership with the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE). SCIE's aim is to improve the experience of people who use social care by developing and promoting knowledge about good practice.
