Project history

Date Update

July 2013

The NCCs may make a focussed call for evidence on specific clinical questions or subquestions, after it has done initial searches. It will be able to make a call at any point during development of the guideline, and stakeholders will usually be given 4 weeks to respond. The NCC will approach all registered stakeholders for this evidence. The NCC may not issue any calls for evidence for a guideline if the Guideline Development Group (GDG) feels it is not necessary. In addition, the NCCs will accept relevant confidential data for consideration by the GDG. The Health Economic plan, review questions and search strategies will be available on the website 5 weeks prior to consultation commencing.

7 June 2013

The scope defines what aspects of care are covered by the guideline and to whom it applies. Comments that were made by stakeholders during the consultation on the scope can be seen in the scope consultation table. The Guideline Development Group (GDG) oversees the development process.

May 2013

Consultation on the draft scope is complete and the scope is being modified in the light of comments received. When completed it will be posted on the website. It will define what aspects of care the guideline will cover and to whom it will apply.

The National Collaborating Centre and the Institute are in the process of agreeing details of the workplan including how the development will progress, the membership of the Guideline Development Group and timescales.

10 April - 8 May 2013

The draft scope is out for consultation with stakeholders. The scope defines what aspects of care the guideline will cover and to whom it will apply. If you wish to comment, you need to do so via one of the registered stakeholder organisations listed, by the deadline shown.

The NCC is currently looking to recruit members for the Guideline Development Group (GDG).

7 September 2012 The remit was received from the Department of Health and the Welsh Government in August 2012.
