Pembrolizumab for previously treated multiple myeloma (ID1139)

As you will be aware, the Department of Health has asked NICE to carry out a Single Technology Appraisal of pembrolizumab in combination with pomalidomide and dexamethasone for treated multiple myeloma.
However, the company have recently advised that they will not be pursuing a licensing application for pembrolizumab from the European Medicines Authority for this indication at this time. This follows on from information provided that one of the pivotal phase III trials relevant to this proposed indication had been put on full clinical hold. Therefore, NICE has decided to suspend this appraisal from its work programme.
