09 August 2017 The scope defines what aspects of care are covered by the guidance and to whom it applies. Comments that were made by stakeholders during the consultation on the scope can be seen in the scope consultation table. The Guideline Committee (GC) oversees the development process.
25 May 2017 Recruitment for GC members closed on 24 May 2017
25 May 2017 Consultation on the draft scope is complete and the scope is being modified in the light of comments received. When completed it will be posted on the website. It will define what aspects of care the guidance will cover and to whom it will apply. The National Guideline Alliance and NICE are in the process of agreeing details of the workplan including how the development will progress, the membership of the Guideline Committee and timescales.

25 April 2017 The title of this guideline has changed from 'Supporting adult carers' to 'Carers: provision of support for adult carers'.
