7.2 The Human Tissue Authority has responsibility for approving living‑donor transplantation based on criteria set out in the legislation. It also regulates organisations in the UK ensuring they meet the quality and safety standards set out in legislation for the use of human tissue, including organs for living‑donor liver transplantation.
7.3 The NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) Organ Donation and Transplantation Liver Advisory Group has developed a living-donor liver transplantation strategy.
