The review of the above medical technologies guidance was launched in December 2015.

Other than for patients admitted with a stroke, the new available evidence on geko supports the guidance recommendations. There has been no change in the availability, cost, mode of action or regulatory status. Therefore it is proposed that this guidance should be placed on the ‘static list’, with appropriate signposting to the updated CG92 for recommendations on patients admitted with a stroke.

Consultation on this document will open on 18 April 2016 at 9.00am and close on at 16 May 2016 9.00am.

In order to be confident that this is appropriate, we are asking all relevant registered stakeholders to comment on the review proposal. We particularly welcome comments on whether all the relevant evidence has been taken into account.
