NICE has assessed Peristeen Plus for managing bowel dysfunction to help the NHS decide whether to use this product.
Peristeen Plus is effective at reducing constipation and incontinence. However, it may not be suitable for everyone with bowel dysfunction; it can take several weeks before people are comfortable using Peristeen Plus themselves, and some people may choose to stop using it altogether.
