NICE has assessed PneuX to help the NHS decide whether to use this product.
PneuX is a special kind of tube inserted into the windpipe to help you breathe. It’s designed to prevent people getting pneumonia as a result of being on a ventilator.
It shows promise but there’s not enough evidence for NICE to be able to recommend that it’s used on the NHS. So NICE has recommended that further research should be done.
