Resource impact statement
No significant resource impact is anticipated
We do not expect this guidance to have a significant impact on resources; that is, it will be less than £1m per year in England (or £1,800 per 100,000 population). Unit costs of delivering services will be low because the guidance recommends that drug misuse prevention activities are delivered for people in groups at risk through a range of existing statutory, voluntary or private services across health and social care sectors. There may be some costs locally to deliver skills training to children and young people, but these are not expected to be significant.
These services are comissioned by clinical commissioning groups, local authorities and NHS England. Providers are primary care services, NHS hospital trusts, NHS mental health organisations, statutory organisations, non-statutory organisations and voluntary sector organisations.
