Endorsed resource – The use of faecal calprotectin in primary care as a decision diagnostic for inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome

NHS England has produced a consensus guidance document that supports implementation of the recommendation for adults in NICE's diagnostics guidance on diagnostic tests for inflammatory diseases of the bowel. It also supports statement 1 in NICE's quality standard on irritable bowel syndrome in adults.
