Review of NICE Technology Appraisal Guidance No. 236; Ticagrelor for the treatment of acute coronary syndromes
The Institute was proposing that TA236 should be transferred to the ‘static guidance list’ and incorporated into the forthcoming NICE clinical guideline on the management of myocardial infarction with ST-segment elevation.
During consultation, the majority of comments received by the Institute agreed with the proposal put forward. After consideration of all of the comments (attached as appendix A), the Institute’s Guidance Executive has decided to proceed with the proposal.
The recommendations from TA236 will consequently be incorporated into the ongoing clinical guideline, and will be moved onto the static list when the clinical guideline is updated and published. This will preserve the funding direction.
