In July/August 2020, NICE completed a consultation exercise on the draft scope and routing for this proposed appraisal.
Following the consultation, the Topic Selection Oversight Panel (with membership from NICE, Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and NHS England and Improvement) met to consider the suitability of this topic. The panel concluded that it will proceed within the NICE work programme as a technology appraisal (TA).
