EGFR‑TK mutation testing in adults with locally advanced or metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer

Question: NICE recommends that studies directly comparing different epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase (EGFR-TK) mutation test methods are performed. These studies should include the re-testing of stored non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tumour samples using different EGFR-TK mutation test methods and should link to patient outcomes.
