Do not do

  • Analgesia: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are not recommended as pain relief for patients with hip fracture.
    June 2011
  • Do not use prostheses for total hip replacement and resurfacing arthroplasty as treatment options for people with end-stage arthritis of the hip if the prostheses have rates (or projected rates) of revision of more than 5% more at 10 years.
