Review of TA131; Corticosteroids for the treatment of chronic asthma in children under the age of 12 years, and TA138; Corticosteroids for the treatment of chronic asthma in adults and children aged 12 years and over

The Institute was proposing that both pieces of guidance should be moved to the static list.

During consultation, the majority of comments received by the Institute agreed with the proposal put forward. After consideration of all of the comments (attached as appendix A), the Institute’s Guidance Executive has decided to proceed with the proposal. Consequently, both TA131 and TA138 will be moved to the static list of technology appraisals, however if NICE is notified of a significant change to the evidence base at any stage in the future then this could trigger a review proposal.
