This document describes the methods used in the development of NICE public health guidance.
The document was first issued in March 2006. This version replaces the second edition 'Methods for the development of NICE public health guidance' (March 2009).
The document is available from the NICE website (www.nice.org.uk). A related document on processes is also available, The NICE public health guidance development process (third edition, 2012).
