Relevance to NICE guidance programmes

NICE has issued diagnostics guidance on Depth of anaesthesia monitors – Bispectral Index (BIS), E-Entropy and Narcotrend-Compact M (NICE diagnostics guidance 6), as well as a clinical guideline on Sedation in children and young people (NICE clinical guideline 112), but this guidance does not specifically cover the choice of manual or automated control of inhalational general anaesthesia.
