Minor changes since publication
September 2024: We updated recommendation 1.2.1.1 to reflect new safety advice on fluoroquinolones and recommendation 1.2.1.2 to reflect new guidance on Clostridium difficile.
January 2020: After a surveillance review, we have updated recommendation 1.2.1.1 with a link to MHRA safety advice on the use of fluoroquinolone antibiotics and added information on the UK marketing authorisation for their use.
