The Committee noted the difficulties of validating the accuracy of diagnostic procedures in the gastrointestinal tract, especially for patients with complex motility disorders, in whom a range of diagnostic procedures may be used. These issues contributed to the difficulty in assessing the efficacy of this procedure.
