Last reviewed: 24 August 2023

This guidance replaces NICE's diagnostics guidance on quantitative faecal immunochemical tests to guide referral for colorectal cancer in primary care (DG30), and partially updates the recommendations on colorectal cancer in NICE’s guideline on suspected cancer: recognition and referral.

Diagnostics guidance 56 has been migrated to HealthTech guidance 690.

Next review: This guidance will be reviewed if there is new evidence that is likely to change the recommendations.
