In January 2026, we reviewed this guideline following the publication of the Department of Health & Social Care’s (DHSC) HIV Action Plan for England, 2025 to 2030.

Surveillance decision

We decided to add a link at the start of the recommendations section to the DHSC's HIV Action Plan to highlight its approach to opt-out testing.
