Information for the public
Cemiplimab (Libtayo) with platinum-based chemotherapy is not normally available on the NHS for untreated non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in adults when the cancer:
- is locally advanced (has spread to nearby tissues) and chemotherapy with radiotherapy is not suitable, or
- is metastatic (has spread to other parts of the body), and
- has a protein called PD‑L1 in 1% or more of the tumour cells, and
- has no genetic changes that affect the EGFR, ALK or ROS-1 genes.
Your healthcare professional should talk with you about other treatment options. If you are already having it, you should be able to continue until you and your healthcare professional decide when best to stop.
