Information for the public
Avelumab (Bavencio) is available on the NHS as a possible treatment for locally advanced or metastatic urothelial cancer that has not progressed after platinum-based chemotherapy in adults. It is only recommended if it is stopped at 5 years of uninterrupted treatment, or earlier if your cancer progresses.
If you are not eligible for avelumab but are already having it, you should be able to continue until you and your doctor decide when best to stop.
