You can now comment on this draft guidance and pathways model report.

How to comment

This appraisal has been developed as part of NICE's proportionate approach to technology appraisals. It is a pilot for the ‘Pathways’ approach.

Two linked documents have been prepared:

  • Pathways Model Report

a summary of the external assessment group’s model and assumptions on renal cell carcinoma, discussed by NICE’s technology appraisal committee B

  • Draft Guidance on treating cabozantinib with nivolumab for untreated advanced renal cell carcinoma

the Pathways Model Report is the basis of the Draft Guidance

You should read both the consultation document and the accompanying evidence (see the committee papers) before making any comments. We would welcome comments on both the Pathways Model Report and on the Draft Guidance.

You must make your comments directly onto the online versions of the consultation documents. When you go into the document you will find instructions on how to use the commenting software. You can also review and edit your comments before you submit them.

You can download a PDF version of the consultation document, but you can only make comments on the online version.

About the consultation

We have asked some questions about the consultation that we would like you to answer. You will be able to see the questions when you go into the online consultation document.

We would also like you to think about whether there are any aspects of the recommendations that need particular consideration to make sure we avoid unlawful discrimination against any group of people. For example, on the grounds of:

  • race
  • sex
  • disability
  • religion or belief
  • sexual orientation
  • age
  • gender reassignment
  • pregnancy and maternity.

Note that this document is not NICE's final guidance on this technology. The recommendations in section 1 may change after consultation.

After the consultation has closed the appraisal committee will meet again to consider the responses received and prepare the final draft guidance.
