Information for the public
Cabozantinib (Cabometyx) with nivolumab (Opdivo) is available on the NHS. It is a possible treatment for untreated advanced renal cell carcinoma in adults if:
- they have an intermediate or poor prognosis
- the alternative treatment would be nivolumab with ipilimumab or lenvatinib with pembrolizumab.
If you are not eligible for cabozantinib with nivolumab but are already having it, you should be able to continue until you and your doctor decide when best to stop.
